I'd like to be the first to say, thanks for taking an interest in our forums. We, here at Kurenai Shi, love anime rpg. We'd love to have you play with us. For the most part our forums are very easy to understand. Right now we're accepting applications. I don't think there will ever be a time when we're not accepting applications. So if you wanna create a character, here's a few things to think about.
Kurenai Shi is a city like any other city on the outside. But it does have a few things weird going on. We have regular human citizens, aliens, magical girls, animals, monsters, ninjas and terrorist characters open for you to choose from. The city has a police station and hospital which we administrators are in charge of. So, if your character is picked up by the police or hurt and taken to the hospital you'll be roleplaying with us directly.
When your character is fighting with another character, there is a possibility that they can be arrested. Police can show up at anytime in a thread. They're played by the administrators, either Natsu or neko-ka-san. If they post that your character is arrested. Then you may continue roleplaying in the Jail thread. If your character is taken to jail, you must convince another character to come bail you out or you'll be stuck in there for the rest of the Game Day. And that's how you get out of jail. For the hospital, you can come here at any time. If your character is hurt, someone (either you or another character) must type 9-1-1 at the end of your thread. After we see it, we'll send Kurenai Shi's ambulance to come and get your character. The character will be transferred to the hospital and put in a hospital room. There your character can rp with people who come to visit him. But to check out of the hospital, another character must come to get you or you'll be stuck there for the rest of the Game Day. So going to jail and to the hospital is only worth it when you have a lot of friends. We administrators will not bail or check you out. So don't ask. If you're desperate, ask a moderator or rp leader to do it. They can do it. But don't be scared of the jail or the hospital. We're not gonna bite. Hard...
Kurenai Shi also has districts of the city where certain characters hail from. Military and Mecha characters will come from Kita-Cho, gangster-like characters and some villains will hail from Minami-Cho, rich people come from Higashi Cho, trendy people come from Nishi-Cho and so on and so forth... Your character can and will move from district to district. It's completely allowed but your home and school is in your district. When you have to go to bed, (if you're not staying at character's house or staying in a hotel) you will sleep in your home. You must however attend your own school. You can go on other school grounds, but you can't attend class there.
Most characters in the districts have pasts and present relationships with other characters here. Most have family lives and NPC's that interact with them to move the plot along. Because it would be so boring if we just relied on our characters to make the story fun. We have most character types here already. To give you an idea, we have snobby people from Kurenai Shi who tend to, well, shall we say, put down the not-so-well-off people of Kurenai Shi. We have a ton of cute girls with personal problems from Nishi-Cho who are fashionable witty and like to party. The Kita-Cho military district is home to some of the most popular boy characters, a ladies' man who works as a host, a shy but sarcastic on the inside boy and a cross-dressing girl who dreams of becoming a soldier? Yeah. It gets crazy when you leave it up to people's imagination. Our Minami-Cho Yakuza district is unfortunately no better or worse than the rest. Home to the Kurenai Shi yakuza, a lot of strong-minded individuals hail from this area. And that's saying the very least. Heh... And lastly, the outskirts area is home to a weird collection of people, time traveling witches, aliens, monsters, terrorists and whatever else doesn't fit anywhere within the city without looking suspicious. It would most definitly be wise to take a look at the citizen board and check out some of the already made characters. Just to get an idea of what kind of personality would click well with other characters.
If you'd like to travel to another district and continue roleplaying in a different district from a previous thread, just say that in your last post of your previous thread and where we can find the thread you're starting in the next district. So...
ex.
Daisuke moved to the door handle and turned it opening the door. He motioned to the group with a hand waving.
"Let's go kareoke now!" He looked to the bunch of boys.
"We could pick up a few girls and have a couple of drinks." He tucked in his shirt and smoothed back his hair. He smiled to himself. Nothing like the picking up a few girls in Nishi-Cho to brighten my mood, he thought.
[traveling to Nishi-Cho]
<---- Put this at the very bottom of your last post in that thread.
After that, start another thread in Nishi-Cho(or wherever you're going) or you can continue in someone else's thread. And that's that on travelling. It just helps us know, when reading your thread, where to continue reading the rest.
Try not to post OOC discussions in roleplay threads. Small tidbits are fine but don't put needless paragraphs of crap at the bottom of your post. It'll ruin it for people trying to read the thread. For example....
[ooc: I'm gonna move the thread to this place.} <----This is OK!
[ooc: I'll brb.] <----This is OK!
[ooc: Goodnight everyone. Going to bed.]<---This is OK!
[ooc: I got up this morning and ate a piece of toast. I played with my dog and then went to school after having a fight with my mother about what I was wearing. I hate homework and school and wish these people would leave me alone about it] <---- THIS IS NOT OK!
If I find anyone doing this, you'll be yelled at. Simple as that. Take that to the OOC discussion.
OOC discussion is for just that, OOC discussion. If you wanna chat with other roleplayers and get to know them do it there. Games, Rants and Raves, polls, irl pictures go in there.
Fandom section has Fanart, Fanfiction, AMVs and Graphics in there. If you draw write, make videos or graphics. Post them here. If you find stuff on the internet that you like and wanna share with us, just use a url and link us to it. If you do decide to upload it to your own server and post it, make sure you give proper credit. I don't wanna here anyone screaming at me because you posted their fanart without asking and didn't give them credit. I don't wanna be involved with that. So credit people and no hotlinking. If you hotlink, I'll delete. Don't eat other people's bandwidth. That's not polite or nice.
Cliques are to group certain roleplayers together for the love or like of something using banners, logos and what have you. This will all be explained later when we have examples.
