*SPOILER ALERT*
While I'm not giving too much away, I can't guarantee there's not something on here you haven't seen.

So, I know how it ends, but other then the end I've only read the english ones. And the end I didn't read, my friend told me about it. So, basically I wanted to discuss the morality of Kira. Obviously the story writer plays it out to where depending on how you read it, either Kira or L and Near could be seen as the "Good Guys". I feel, though, that in the end the protagonists should be seen as L and Near, because it's not any mortals right to get rid of all evil. So, any comments?

Gomen Gari-chan, but I skipped over the spoilers since I'm not completely finished with the manga series yet >w<

But wow. I found this at stage6.com. Someone commented with this article:

Quote
Some schools in Shenyang, People's Republic of China have banned the manga after some of their students started to tease friends and teachers by altering a notebook to resemble a Death Note and writing their names in them.
The newspaper Shenyang Night Report called Death Note "poison, creating wicked hearts".Others however, including one major Chinese newspaper, felt that the ban is an overreaction and is inappropriate.

Beijing also has a ban on "horror stories" around schools to protect the "physical and mental health" of students, which includes local adaptations of Death Note.China itself is likewise trying to weed out pirated copies of the books and television series, as well other Japanese horror magazines, where no legal publication house prints it. Wang Song of the National Anti-piracy and Anti-pornography Working Committee has said that the series "misleads innocent children and distorts their mind and spirit

Also:

Quote
Belgian murder
On September 28, 2007, two notes stating "Watashi wa Kira dess" (I am Kira, with "desu" being the more literal and correct transliteration of the verb) were found near the unidentified remains of a Caucasian male. Nothing was found on or near the victim besides these two notes. Belgian police are investigating the matter further

Some people are taking this a bit too seriously XD. But I thought it was interesting...

^ Wow, that's funky. Actually, I do think they're overreacting. o___O; I mean come on, there's a thing called the internet, not to mention that a lot of people there know english so they could just read it online. =w=

But I think people playing that stupid trick about being Kira, okay yeah, they're just ruining the book. D=< CURSE THEM TO HELL But I personally love Death Note.
